Midlife Isn't Asking You to Get Smaller. It's Asking You to Become Stronger.
For decades, women were taught that health meant being smaller.
Eat less. Exercise more. Stay disciplined.
The reward, we were told, would be acceptance, confidence, and control.
Many of us spent years trying to shrink ourselves rather than strengthen ourselves.
Then midlife arrives.
The habits that once seemed manageable—skipping meals, eating less, constantly trying to stay in control—can suddenly leave us exhausted, frustrated, and disconnected from our bodies.
What once helped us stay thin often leaves us under-muscled, under-fueled, and less resilient at the exact stage of life when strength matters most.
Midlife isn't asking you to get smaller. It's asking you to become stronger.
Because health isn't about being thin. Health comes in many forms.
It's about building a body that will support you for the rest of your life.
For me, that shift comes down to three things: Protein. Pleasure. Permission.
